Yes, I have tried changing the view layout, restoring defaults and also
making changes in Folders, View tab. I also spent a long time on Microsoft's
websites and the web chasing down this problem to no avail. I reimaged my
system and everything is fine now.
I decided to check my Windows Update panel to determine if the same
problem existed there, and it did. As in my Programs and Features panel I
had the entries on the left side and nothing else. Looking back, I now
remember I had upgraded my Secunia PSI to the latest release candidate
version just prior to these problems. I don't know if that is what caused
the problems but I've decided to not update it again. However, I may change
my mind, upgrade it again just to see what happens. A reimage will only take
me twenty minutes and sometimes my curiosity gets the best of me.
Thank you for your response. I appreciate it.
