I downloaded the pre RC1 version and need to burn it to a DVD but am not
sure exactly how to do it. I know that I have to burn it at a slow rate
but the software I have only gives me options down to 2.5X . What is a
good DVD burning software to use with the HP 630e burner. When I went to
the device manager it says that it should burn at 1X but I cant get nero
to give me that option.

The second question is since its an ISO file is there any trick to
opening it?

What burning software do you have?
In it there should be an option to burn ISO or image file. Choose that
option and browse to the ISO that you downloaded.
It is best to choose the slowest rate as possible to avoid burn errors. If
it doesn't allow 1x then try the next up. My burner was successful at 8x.

When you launch Nero there should be a menu on the file bar that says
"Recorder" and then drill down to "Burn Image..." and it will prompt you to
open the .iso whereever you stored it at. Burn from there. Nero has the
option of calculating the proper speed for you. I burned at 8X with no
problems.
