proxy problem under windows.update.V5 & sp2.

Hi,all
I have updated WindowsXP with sp2 .But then I just can't scan & download
the critical updates through the webaddress
http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...ult.aspx?ln=en .The
problem is :
I am after a http proxy server.All of my http or https connections MUST go
through the proxy server.Then when I click the link of "Express Install
(Recommended): High Priority Updates for Your Computer" in above webpage, it
does initiate an connection to some server bypass the proxy config of IE(I
found that using netstat).
BTW: there are no problem with sp1a+v4.update.

I believe that V% WindowsUüpdate doesn't use the proxy at all.
That was also the reason why I never used Automatic Updates, we have several
PC and don't want to download every Patch several times.

Why isn't MS able to make the Automatic Update use a proxy? It is really a
shame and a waste of bandwith.
