public and local domain MX records

I have a public domain mydomain.com and i have created a local domain
mydomain.local .
Do i have to have the MX record for my mail.domain.com in my local dns or is
it enough that my isp provider has it?

In all likelihood your ISP would be the only people to need to worry
about the MX records for you. All you need to is make sure that you
both agree on what IP's and names go together and allow tcp 25 into
your environment to your Exchange servers.
The internal .local needs no MX whatsoever.
