Punkbuster

Hey all,

I installed some games wich have punkbuster.
But first I tried single player, wich didn't ask for PB.
But when I tried to connect with multi-player I couldn't do a thing.
The game crashed.
What should I do, or can to fix this problem?

Now one game with PB works.
Now I have another problem. Call Of Duty doens't work on Vista.
Sometimes it workes, and sometimes it really doesn't.
How do I fix this problem?

Some machine specs would be nice, and also do you mean it won't work online
or at all?

Right click the shortcut Icon for the single player game on the desktop
and select COMPATIBILITY Tab. Select for Windows XP SP2 in the
Compatibility mode and also tick RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR

Need more details. I just ran through Call of Duty 4 with no problems
(other than being repeatedly killed...).

Ok. I'll try, but in english it's pretty hard for me.
I have installed COD 2. I have run it as Administrator (right mouse
click-> run as administrator) But after a few seconds COD2 crashes. I
tried updating
COD2 with some updates from their homepage. But that doesn't work
eiterh.
I have olso updated WindowsVista.

At the first beginning COD2 worked fine. Untill I tried multi-player.
Than it totally crashed.
I've checked my fire-wall that could be blocking it (Kapersky).

Conclusion: Help?!

so it is when online .. right run the punkbuster setup from here
http://www.scottykone.karoo.net/pbsetup.exe then click add a game then find
COD2 then click update

The I have the choice of the menu of COD2. Singelplayer, multi etc.. I
choose single, and after a few second the game crashes.
What shall I try next?

The CD is NOT required in the DVD drive to play Multiplayer. You should
have two icons on your desktop, one for Single Player (that does require
CD) and other for Multiplayer.

Have you got the latest patch?

If your DVD drive is at fault, you could grab a No_CD Cracked exe from
http://www.gameburnworld.com/gameburnworld.htm

I think it is all legal if you have a legal copy.

I would also make sure ALL the Punkbuster exe files and dll's are added
to your Firewall ALLOW list

Anyway, that works for me
