I am new at this and have been reading on the internet about what I want to
do and have come up with the following scenario

I have a virtual pc on my laptop and my ultimate goal is to work with
Microsoft office server sharepoint 2007.
I already have vista sp1 on the vpc.
I found a site
http://wareseeker.com/download/windo....1.rar/3506088
that allows the downloading of microsoft office server 2003 which MOSS needs
to be located on
Since this will take over 41/2 hours to download I wanted to ask by opening
the website above in my vpc and clicking on each one of the three downloads -
should it work.

thanks

Depends on the size of the VHDs of the trial, if they're over 127GB
they won't mount in VPC. Otherwise, you should be fine.
Instructions are here:
http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...5e7/ReadMe.htm
Keep in mind this is a trial and expires in January 2010.

You need to download the files to the host machine and then extract them and
then run your VPC file
