As far as I know all current Core 2 Quad core CPUs are fully 64-bit
capable, but since you have found conflicting, or confusing, information
on the Intel website you should contact Intel Tech Support and get the
information directly from the manufacturer.
Since HP is selling their Pavilion p6280t PC with a Q9505 and Windows 7
x64 I would suspect it is fully 64-bit capable.
