While I am not familar with Windows 7 or QAM.
I do know that you can use a two set coupler to connect both the
TV/Cable and DTV ANT connection to one coax, and you should connect your
Tuner card that way.
If your cable company is broadcasting Clear QAM then you may see those
channels when you connect the DTV Ant input. (QAM is Digital).
I have used Media Center 2005, MCE 2005 requires that you tune the
analog channels before the search for the Digital channels can begin.
I understand that requirement was removed in Vista and Windows 7.
I would still bet that you have to scan both to find all channels.
You would have to go through the Media Center setup again after you have
connected both inputs.
