Question: What features makes WLM better than other communicator programs?

Question:

With so many choices out there today with communication, such as Facebook,
Skype and Twitter, I am curious to know what people like about Windows Live
Messenger over any other communication programs available.

Windows live mess used to be decent until it tried to cater to the
children of the world.Up until then I used it a lot as I communicate
with my brothers (3) and my Mom every weekend. It only allows video with
one at a time.Personally I gave up on it a long time ago. It does not
allow for many different things. The video sucks as bad as the corny
games. I personally found a free program that allows video of up to 12
at once (paid) and 3 at once free. Although I know at least on one
occasion we somehow had 4 on at the same time. Different parts of the
country as well as Canada. All high def and crystal clear. The program
is called Oovoo and I for one will stick with it until I find something
better. I don't think that will happen for awhile though. Just my 3 cents.

Got to admit I don't like how WLM has progressed. The video isn't as good
as some other IM software out there. If it wasn't for A-Patch that can
remove those annoying ads and remove some other annoyances, I would have
stopped using it a while ago.
That said, my kids(as I suspect most others do) love it. Each to their own
tho and it's always interesting to come on these newsgroups to read up on
what others think of it.
