Hi Bill,

There is no immediate need to upgrade if you feel you don't want to.
However, I have been using video and voice with WLM 8 for months with no
problems. You can always upgrade and try it, and if you're not happy,
you can always redownload MSN 7.5 from

Jonathan,

Is there any reason not to upgrade to Live Messenger at this time? My
daughter and I video conference so my wife and I can see our granddaughter
in an other state. We currently conference without any problems and I'm
thinking we should leave well enough alone until Live Messenger settles
down. Do you suggest we wait to upgrade or continue with the upgrade now?
Thank you.

Bill

Thanks for the reply. It makes a lot of sense. Also, thanks for the link
to 7.5. Based upon your experience with 8, I'll give it a try knowing I
have an easy way of going back if there are any problems. Thanks again.

Bill

Greetings Bill,

Just to clarify, there's been no major update to the voice/video functionality (at least
quality-wise). If it's working great for you, there's no compelling reason to update really
unless there's something specific in the new version that tickles your fancy.

Thank you, Jonathan. I appreciate the response. I think I'll leave well
enough alone. 7.5 is working flawlessly for us. Thanks again.
