Question about popup or smaller windows IE8

Hello,

Since I installed IE8 my programs that use to have popup or smaller
windows open no longer works, they open in new IE8 windows as if you clicked
on a link. In IE6 for my admin part of a shopping cart I have if I clicked
on a feature to be changed a popup window would open which made it much
easier because I could still see the main window.

I checked my IE8 settings and under tools>popup blocker> it say "Turn on
popup blocker" which makes me think the popup blocker isn't turned on. If
that is correct why doesn't IE8 allow the popup windows to open ??

I have tried it in other browsers and the popups work in them. Is this
something that IE8 can't do or is there a setting that I need to set?

Thanks

Hi,
The pop-ups are opening, right? But they're opening in a regular IE window?

I would place these sites in Trusted Sites and change these settings:
Internet Options> Security> Trusted Sites> Custom Level:
* Allow script-initiated windows without size or position constraints ...
Enable
* Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars ... Enable

Maybe also, Internet Options> General> Tabs> Settings> Always open pop-ups
in a new window.
-
Hope this helps,
