is there a way to get other e mail addresses set up to work with messenger?
and if so how. I know you could do that with the older messengers but don't
know if it can be done with this one or not.

Hi Skywolfe,

Of course, it just has to be a live ID. https://signup.live.com will let you you register
them as Live IDs and then you can use them in Messenger immediately after.
