Questions about Vista update and sleep

i installed vista 2 weeks ago and i have two questions about vista.
1. the updates
on mar 15th, i was updating as usual and when i finished the update it shows
updated successfully and then it show up again , then i update again . but
for the next several till now i still can see this update , i dont know why
,i updates this many times and the vista still want me to update . somebody
told me if i can not pass this one i will miss the rest updates. i dont know
the reason . please help me out . i was trying to restore but the restore
point does not inlcude the data before i update this file.
2. the sleep function
i found this founction is useful but sometimes it is strange. i mean there
is one time i hibernate my laptop , i put it in the bag when i open it , it
already running the because it is in the bag , it's freaking hot already.
another time is there is one night i was sleeping , then i heard something
running, i woke up found my laptop was running. i turn it into hibernate
before i sleep .
is there anybody who can help me out ? Thanks
