Questions with Windows Update Patches for Backup

Hi, all. I have backed up a clean image of hard disks which contain the OS
and all program files, surely including Windows Update Patches. However, the
OS will get more new patches frequently. Do I have to do the incremental
backup for the new-patch-installed system? Or just backup the new-installed
patches alone? And I don't know how to do the latter thing. (Using the third
party software WU Tool? It is impossible for backuping as long as the
patches have been installed)

Please give me advice and instructions.Thanks.

Security updates are available on ISO-9660 CD image files from the Microsoft Download
Center
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086

You can also download individual updates from the Catalog and save to be installed
later.
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.co...en/default.asp

Click Add button for each update you want to download. Once you have what you want,
Click the Go To Download Basket link. Type in or browse to the location where you
want the updates saved to and then Click the Download Now button.
Once downloaded, you can then burn them to CD.

Greetings,

I suppose ISO-burner is a great tool to use to burn image to disc. This
utility is free, small and extremely easy to use. However, it never
failed me and is a really reliable one

If you want to save the WU then you need to download them manually and save for later
use then if you restore from your back up you can then apply the updates that were
done at a later time. The links were for manually download of the WU not automatic
updates.
The other alternative is using your backup software, do incremental/full backups once
a month after WU have downloaded automatically.
