I've created a Quick Launch toolbar on the left side of my desktop, just the
way I like it. I've also mapped my Documents folder to a separate partition
(E. Most of the icons in Quick Launch work just fine, including Computer,
Show Desktop, and Switch Between Windows. I can create a button in Quick
Launch for this Documents drive, by dragging from the Start menu to Quick
Launch. But the button doesn't do anything.

try using EXPLORER
right click on folder, send to, select desktop as shortcut.
then drag the shortcut to the QL bar.

No joy. The shortcut gets created, but isn't fully functional. More info:
If I right click on the shortcut (or on the icon in QL), then choose "Open",
it works. But a simple click gives me nothing. All my other QL icons work.
