Hi, BigDeano.
I'm a fan of the Quick Launch. I have about 20 icons there, but only 8 of
them show normally. The others are accessible when I click the little
chevrons at the right end of the QL Toolbar, just before the Taskbar. I
can, of course, unlock the Taskbar and resize the QL bar to see more or
fewer of them.
But I've never had Vista delete QL icons without my telling it to!
Hmm... You say this happens after you add the icons - and then restart
Windows? HOW are you restarting? Are you Shutting Down gracefully, so that
Vista has time to "put away its toys" and record any changes to the Desktop
that you've made this session? An abrupt restart - whether intentional or
because of some malfunction (or just "pulling the plug") - can cause Vista
to revert to the previous settings. Then all recent changes will have to be
redone after the restart.
