At the quickviews I used to see all the emails not read, all the spam, etc.
since a month ago there are no emails shown, though there are emails not read
in other inboxes, spam, etc.

do anyone know how to restore the quick view folders? I uninstalled the
program and installed it again, but nothing happened....

many thanks in advance!

What version of WLMail are you using?

Hi, Alberto.

My guess is that you somehow managed to clear the check box from the first
option in (right-click) Quick views | Select Quick Views. When that Select
window is opened from the Mail page, the top line, "Unread e-mail - Shows
all unread messages in all your e-mail accounts", is automatically checked
and can't be unchecked. But when that Select window is accessed from the
News page, we can uncheck that Unread e-mail box - but can't uncheck All
news.

Personally, I like to have that Unread e-mail box checked in both Mail and
News. Then, when I hear a new-mail "ding" while reading newsgroups, I can
look up and see if there is a new unread message shown. (If not, I know
that my Junk mail filters have put the new message into Junk e-mail so
there's no need for me to interrupt my news reading to look at it; I can
scan Junk e-mail later for false positives.) Then a click on Unread e-mail
lets me read my new mail without losing my place in newsgroups.

hi rc,

i checked it many times, but the boxes are still selected. i loved to check
all the emails received in that quickview, as i have some message rules and
otherwise i have to check all the other folders in order to know where the
new email has arrived.
i can see the folder in the quick view, but they show they are no emails to
show in any of them, all are empty! :S it happened some time ago and since
then i couldn't manage to get them to show the emails....

Alberto - Just some other things to consider or look into . . . . . Are you
using a "custom view" by chance? Have you tried going to View - Show/Hide -
there should be a button beside "Show All Messages"? Also, at that same
place - View - Show/Hide, at the bottom there is "Customize Current View" -
in there, you should have a check in the box "For all messages" and in the
pane below it, it should read "For all messages Show the message".

The only other thing I can think to have you check on is your message
rules - are any of them inadvertently keeping mail from showing in Quick
Views? Sorry, that's all I've got . . . . . . .

Thought of something else for you to try . . . . turn off Quick View - close
out WLM - reopen it - turn on Quick View
(View > Layout > Folder Pane > uncheck / check the box "show Quick View")

Maybe that will fix it . . . . . .
