Quicken 2003/SP2 IE incompatibility?

After several unsuccessful attempts at installing SP2 on Windows XP for home,
I am now unable to download bank statements through Quicken 2003 using
internet explorer. The download progress bar starts, then rapidly completes
with no error message, and no file on my computer. I can still download from
the bank site using a different browser (Netscape Navigator). Does this
indicate that I have some kind of corrupted IE file as a result of the failed
SP2 installs? IE is still able to dowload from other web sites. Checking
System Restore does not show any points before SP2 attempts that are
available.

Fixed the problem - Downloaded Mozilla's Firefox and made it my default
browser. It works like a charm - and so fast! Internet Explorer will be
warming the bench until it is ready to play in the big leagues again.

I have the same problem. After installing SP2 on Windows XP for home, no
more downloads through Quicken. I tried to resolve by upgrading to Quicken
2K5 and had the same result. Anyone out there no how to fix this without
using another browser?

"amatruk",

I am sorry you are running into this issue. While the installation of an
update does seem to be a catalyst to the problem, the issue here seems to be
compatibility. Please post this question to the following newsgroups, as
they have people with more experience in this issue and can help you more
quickly. Please do post back the solution, however, when you find it.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
