Radeon 9600SE Driver

The ATI ASUS Radeon 9600SE driver distributed by Microsoft Update causes the
icons to scramble on my XP-Pro system. I had to restore and reinstall
updates w/o the new video driver. I reported this to ATI last month (after
the June updates) but it still hasn't been fixed.

Is anyone else having this Problem? Is there a way to get the updated
driver installed w/o destroyong my desktop? Is there a way to restore my
desktop display w/o restoring all the files and regestry?

I would suggest that you download and install the latest
ATI drivers directly from ATI:
http://www.ati.com/

I suggest getting updates from your card manufacturer or ATI. Don't use
Windows Update for drivers. It is not reliable and I've seen it trash many
systems.
