OK, since it worked for me then it sounds like something is awry on your
system.
In WMP's Tools:Options:Network menu settings, are any protocols listed in
the Proxy Settings box on the bottom, or is it empty? I'm suspicious that
your network settings are corrupted, which can easily enough be reset ala:
