random freeze

i have a packard bell triple core 3g ram integrated graphics card
running vista home premium. when playing games online (guild wars
bf2142) i get random freezes. sometimes happens every 5 mins sometimes 4
hours with no problem has anyone else encountered this problem? can
anyone help? how do i fix this? fairly new to computing so dont have a
lot of technical knowhow. any help would be greatly appreciated.
