Rare OS glitch

I'm not sure how common this is. Sometimes when I am opening a folder, it
will display a folder in a different directory for about 2 seconds, before
switching back. This happened on XP, but I've never had that problem on
Linux, yet. Is this an OS problem or my hard drive goin nuts?

Is this a Vista question? (Just trying to get you to the newsgroup that can
help you the most.)

I would be in the wrong area.

Wild guess, something is hogging your CPU? You say "sometimes" so it's
not regular behavior, what else is going on when you see this?

NOTE: You can open Task Manager, select the Processes tab, click on
Options and select Always on Top, then click on the cpu tab to sort so
that the processes using the most CPU (usually System Idle Process if
you're not doing anything else) are on top and then leave it open as
you go about your other tasks, you can move it to one side or whatever
to keep it out of the way, then when the problem occurs, see what's
running.
