According to my watermark, I have Vista RC1 build 5600 but according to the
expiration date, I have RC2

VISTA RC2 expires in May 2007.
RC1 expires in June 2007.

My RC1 says it expires May 7, 2007

Or are those expiration dates wrong for the builds?

To find your correct build number go to -Start -Run and type winver. This
will tell you your build and expiry details.

All pre-release versions of Vista expire on either 31st May 2007, or 1 June
2007, depending on your time zone ;-)

Is it possible to get RC2 in the meantime or should i just stay with RC1? I
have no issues and it is working fine for me other than I need a graphics
card which is on my Xmas list.

You have to stay with RC1 if you do not have a friend who downloaded
RC2 in time.

RC2 is no longer for CPP download. You might find it on
MSDN if you subscribe to it.

You would probably better off if you wait for the final
release after Jan 1st and get an upgrade from Dell that
would be optimized to support you hardware.
