Are you still using the Beta version of Windows Defender which expired
31/12/06?
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx

Download the new version which isn't BETA and then run the update from
within Windows Defender.

TaurArian,

I cannot say for sure that was the fix because I was not using the Beta
version. However, I installed the suggested program including installing all
related updates. When I went back to the Windows Update I no longer had the
0KB piority update waiting to be installed.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Maverick, I vaguely remember that I downloaded this straight after it was
released from Beta, I then downloaded it again at a much later date for a
friend and noted that the file was different (might have been a slight file
size difference) - didn't take much notice at the time.
I think there was the 1st release and possibly another release after that -
can't say 100%, but that's my theory. Could have been 1592 and then later
1593.

Anyway, glad the problem was fixed - even if we're not sure what fixed it.
K
