Hi,

The error, 0x00000124, is a processor error. Vista is merely reporting it
before shutting down, it's not in the operating system but rather the
hardware. Causes can include overheating, a faulty processor, and
overclocking. If you are overclocked, undo it before you damage the
processor. To check for overheating, you might want to try a stress test
from the manufacturer. Otherwise, your processor may be faulty.

Find a different tech.

Hi,

I'm sorry but there is nothing I can do for you from here outside of
explaining the source of the error code. You need a tech that actually
understands them (and the geek squad are certainly not the right ones) and
why the hardware is the problem.

A wild guess-- Your new computer has a multi core processor, possibly an AMD
processor.
If so, (Multi core) you may be able to get SIM2 to run if you assign it to
one core.

Hey! I've got the same problem as you... While I'm running Cities XL.
have the same system u've got, the HP e9180f, and have the exact sam
symptoms just before the blue screen comes up, my system gradually slow
down until it freezes.

I'm trying different things to get it fixed but for the past month.. n
chance.

Let me know if anything new develops as a solution to this problem!

P.S. I also have the problem while running under Vista AND 7.

Yve
