Hello Tucker,

Saying it the hard way, whoever told you, the info is crap. Extending the
schema to a new version is common and needed practise to add newer OS DC's
to a forest/domain.

So you have NOT to run the setup2.exe from the second disk set on the existing
2003 DC, you have to run the adprep command from the second R2 disk set,
located in E:\CMPNENTS\R2\ADPREP where E: is your disk drive, with an account
that is member of the schema admins group.

And also the setup2.exe on the second disk will only install the additional
tools.
