I've been having this problem and it's annoying, specially if you have a
longer password

I think I have found a clue to where this problem may reside. I was looking
inside the settings of my Windows User account and found the "Set up my
account to use a .NET Passport". Usually it displayed my windows live
messenger sign in information, but it seems it is also forgetting it.

Just a bit of info I found, hope it helps the devs to solve the problem.
