I am the editor for a computer club newsletter.
For me and most of those of us "house call" members, we have found only two
problems with IE7. Therefore, all of the newsletter articles were positive.
What are the specific problems that you experienced that made you say:
"...it still sucked."
One was an expensive program that apparently depended on code in IE6 that
they claimed was not in IE7 (probably closed a vulnerabilty) and one member
reverted to IE6 because he didn't want to buy Intuit's QuickBooks 2007.
Intuit was aware of the problem and didn't want to update QuickBooks 2004,
but updated it with a test for IE7 and prepared a warning that it wouldn't
work well. Since that member had previously upgraded QuickBooks 2001 to 2004
because of TurboTax refusing to import Schedule C information from the older
version, that member quickly went with Microsoft's FREE Office Accounting
Express.
