In addition to Kari's advice, suggest you turn off Norton System
Doctor prior to accessing Windows Update if you have Norton System
Works installed.
IF the error message is not related to a wininit.ini file than it is
possible that NAV's LiveUpdate has corrupted the System Restore
hierarchy. If this is the case, please post back for instructions
for deleting SR's files and rebuilding the heirarchy.
