How are you trying to connect - USB? Can you check under File ->
Connection Settings and ensure that USB is checked as a sync method?
Have you ever been able to synchronize with this computer?

Was this an upgrade of ActiveSync, or did you reinstall Windows? Did
you install ActiveSync before connecting the device to the computer?
Can you check in Device Manager (in Control Panel) to see if you see
the Axim listed (when it's connected)?

Try plugging it into a different USB port - and ensure you are
plugging it directly into the computer, not into a USB hub.
