It looks like the PPC is set to sync with an exchange server rather than
desktop outlook. When cradled in the office, I guess you are trying to sync
with Outlook... The PPC can either sync with Exchange server directly or with
MS outlook on the desktop....
To be able to sync with the exchange server when cradled to a office
desktop... configure the desktop's activesync to sync with Microsoft exchange
server on the LAN and configure DTP to set the connection as work.
If you want the same to be done the other way around... you can setup the
PPC to sync to your desktop outlook while connecting remotely via phone
too... But the other option is recommended to maintain uniformity ?
