Activesync uses TCP/IP protocol to communicate with the PPC. It users
certain ports for this purpose. More information about ports, is explained

I never known problem of Activesync and the trojan you describe. You might
want to update your virus definitions since most likely the trojan is also
using the same port to communicate. As you are aware, trojans are computer
programs which carries within itself a means to allow the program's creator
access to the system using it.
