Is there any way of knowing what that error code "means"?

The
internet is 'empty' regarding this question. It took me 8 hours to find
nothing. The error code stays unexplained, even MS hotline is helpless. From
uncounted try-and-error hours spent it 'means' to me that somewhere in your
synced data there is a corrupt entry (from the weird point of view of
ActiveSync) and the 'only' action you have to perform is: export all Outlook
data (in another pst file), backup all files synced, copy and move all
favourites, thus flush anything synced, de-select all options, sync 'empty
(as you described), re-import, re-copy, move back and the like, select all
options and sync again while crossing your fingers. It worked for me, but no
warrants...
