I am having this same problem and have been searching high and low for a
solution. Having jumped through all of the detect and repair, reinstall, delete parnership and hard reset hoops on my T-Modile MDA. I now cannot sync the calendar at all. In the past, I have been able to get it to synch occcasionally, but not consistently. How do you determine which calendar item is "bad"? I have no calendar entries on my MDA. I am using WM5, ActiveSync 4.2, MS Outlook 2002, connected to an Exchange server. Take a look at the "%TEMP%\wceslog.log" file, on your PC.

Here is the log file. The Calendar is all that is being synched. I don't
see anything pointing to a calendar entry. 08/14/2006 08:40:29.140 **************** Logging Started **************** 08/14/2006 08:40:29.140 Process C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESMgr.exe p(180) 08/14/2006 08:42:46.250 **************** Logging Started **************** 08/14/2006 08:42:46.250 Process C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESMgr.exe p(180) 08/14/2006 08:42:48.828 **************** Logging Started **************** 08/14/2006 08:42:48.828 Process C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESMgr.exe p(180) 08/14/2006 08:42:49.281 **************** Logging Started **************** 08/14/2006 08:42:49.281 Process C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESMgr.exe p(180) 08/14/2006 08:42:49.281 p(180) t(3592) TraceToFile -> ERROR in CRegSettings::Initialize : hr = 0x80070002 - RegSettings.cpp(91) 08/14/2006 08:42:49.281 p(180) t(3592) SyncEngPerf -> Sync Statistics: Starting processing of request - Service.cpp(1155) 08/14/2006 08:42:49.281 Dump of client message request. It looks like a database is corrupt on the PC. Have you tried deleting the
partnership and creating a new one?? -- Carl Wolz [MSFT] This Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Yes. In the past 12 weeks, have done the "Detect and Repair" in Outlook (4
times), reinstalled ActiveSync (many times), delete and recreated the partnership (many many times), hard reset the T-Mobile MDA (4 times). The Calendar has synced successfully occasionally, but never reliably. It has now been about 2 weeks since I was able to synch the Calendar. The Contacts, Tasks and Favorites will now sync reliably, though I do get occasional 8600209, 85010014, and 85010017 errors. "Carl Wolz [MSFT]" wrote: > It looks like a database is corrupt on the PC. I have referred this to a desktop developer. It seems that these errors are
expected, since the tables are not yet created in the database yet. Let's see if it a bad calendar object. Create a new folder and move all of the calendar items to it. Then try to sync calendar to the device. If it succeeds, than start moving a group at a time, the calendar items back to the calendar folder. -- Carl Wolz [MSFT] This Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Thanks for the suggestion. It worked! I am now synching.
Initially, I did not see a way to get all of the calendar items moved to a new folder. These links helped me work through that process, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...47731033.aspx; http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...347701033.aspx.
