Hi,
When you installed Outlook, did you setup an e-mail account or open it
before you synchronized? There are functions that are performed when you
open it the first time that must be completed before synchronizing.

Finally did you install ActiveSync first? This must be done so ActiveSync
can configure itself for the version of Outlook you are using?

Hi,
Are you logged in as the local administrator when you did the installation?
Do you have a firewall installed on the PC? That too can prevent
synchronization.
