Just how and where are you telling the phone to connect? It sounds almost as
if you are not telling the phone to connect correctly.

Ok this is correct and it sounds as if you have connected to your nx8220 at
one time? Or have you connected to another computer to get the Bluetooth
option in ActiveSync? WM5 uses COM ports in a different way than previous
version did, COM Ports are not reusable under WM5. So you basically need to
create a new COM port for each Bluetooth device you connect to using serial
ports.

After about five seconds, the phone says "Port not

Are you watching the ActiveSync icon and the Bluetooth icon on the Taskbar?

I believe it may have to do with the limited COM ports on your WM 5 device.

How many Bluetooth serial devices do you actually have connected to this
computer? Generally COM ports are assigned in increasing order, so the
newest is the highest. When was your Pocket PC partner to your Laptop?

To add to the general confusion - I have had this working in the past, but
it's now stopped. When it was working I had two services available on the
(WM5) phone: serial port and Active Sync. I've now only got Serial port. I
think the loss of the Active Sync service was linked to updates to Active
Sync application on the XP PC, but reverting doesn't bring it back.
HTH in some way. I've given up actively looking for a solution, but would be
interested if someone had a solution.
