Hi,

If you connect the device without deleting the partnership, the device would
interpret the information on the desktop as erased and would erase the
concerned data from your PPC. If you have the data only on the PPC, then
you should have deleted the partnership first and then recreate it to get
the data onto the computer. If you have a backup file of the PPC, then
restore it and proceed to delete the partnership. If not then check if any
items are still available in the Deleted items folder of Outlook.

To delete the partnership ---

1. Disconnect the PPC from the computer.
2. On the computer, open Microsoft ActiveSync.
3. Click File -> Delete Partnerships to remove any previously
created partnerships and then connect the device to establish a new
partnership.

Upon establishing a partnership, Activesync will prompt a message stating
certain information type on your mobile device has items that have not
been synchronized with this computer before along with the following 3
options:

* Combine the items on my device with the items on this computer.
* Replace the items on my device with the items on this computer.
* Do not synchronize this information type at this time.

Choose the 1st option and you should find the data on your PPC in Outlook.
Please note that the items in the Inbox will not be synchronized since Inbox
is a one-way synchronization from the desktop to the device only. If you
want to recover the e-mail messages as well, then you need to use
Intellisync. For more information visit ---
