Greetings,

This is a bit off topic for this group, but just some notes that might help.

Firstly, AppHang isn't a thing, it just means the application stopped responding and you've
forced it to close. Depending on what's happening, you might actually be successful by just
waiting longer and not forcing it to terminate.

Secondly, although I actually have never had a reason to use Pro Tools or know at what point
you're having this problem, it could be attempting to access some sort of device on your
system which isn't working properly (and therefore is freezing up the application). You may
want to unplug any devices you have plugged in beside the basic keyboard and mouse.
Additionally, any extra things (like TV Tuners for example), you could try disabling in the
Device Manager in the Control Panel.

Finally, it could be something else running on the system that's causing it to stop. You
might try doing a .... You can do so by clicking the Start orb, type "msconfig" and press
Enter on the keyboard. Choose Diagnostic startup and then reboot. Once Windows has
reloaded, try and run Pro Tools and see what happens. Regardless, run MSConfig again and
choose Normal startup once you've tried this.

If you still encounter problems, I suggest you contact Digidesign or M-Audio for support, as
I'm sure they'd be more than helpful to assist you.
