      05-11-2007
Go to the Windows update page and initiate a check for new updates. When it
has finished it will clear the icon. It worked for me anyway.

Daniel,

Click the Automatic Update icon in the system tray

Click CUSTOM (install)
Uncheck the update & click CLOSE
A dialog pops up & asks if you want to be notified of this update again...
