You just have to know what buttons to push. Create a shortcut to Media
Player, assign its Properties to the shortcut combo of your choice, say
ctrl-shift-P, then when the tray is open, press ctrl-shift-p, then ctrl-j,
then Alt-F4.
You could script a local web page to do that in IE with a shortcut you could
click on, but that takes ActiveX for the Media Player Object.

you missed the point. The answer to my question is, "Yes, matt you are
right. you should work for microsoft. The concept of 'reduced improvability'
is foreign to them. For decades microsoft has continually improved their
products, yet they've never reduced the improvability of their OS. god
