Seagate Replica, 500GB version.
Backup multiple computers (as long as the total data is less than 500GB,
naturally) in a way that allows you to restore bare-metal or individual
VERSIONS of a file (dependent on frequency of backup, etc.)
As far as what you would need to know... Can you plug it into USB and click
on some things?
5 DVDs is maybe 20GB, probably compressed, so likely less than 40GB of data.
