None, other than whatever memory the computer already has. If you back
up to a hard drive, what you need is hard drive space, not memory.
Moreover, you should never put a backup on the main hard drive you
already have, since it exposes you to the risk of simultaneously
losing the original and backup to many of the most common dangers,
such as severe power glitches, nearby lightning strikes, virus
attacks, even theft of the computer.

No. First, please don't confuse memory and disk space. Second, backups
should always be done to external media, never to whatever is already
installed in the computer.
