Hi,

You might need to use proxycfg.exe to set a proxy server configuration
for WinHTTP on the client (or if possible, you may want/need to create
an anonymous access rule for Windows Update site on the proxy server):

Open a command prompt (Start/Run and then "cmd.exe" without the
quotes").

Run this command to see what proxy configuration WU uses:

proxycfg

To get more help on proxycfg if you need to configure it to use
a proxy server or import the proxy settings from current user's
Internet Explorer's settings:

proxycfg -?

Hi,

Proxycfg.exe will set the proxy setting that BITS uses...
