Greetings,

I don't really believe these are from the web. Have you ever received one of those fake
messages from one of your contacts urging you to go to a check out a web site because they've
given out their username and password out to a phisher (the page they link you to then asks
you to do the same)?

If so, they've now harvested that person's entire contact list and has slowly been being sold
to spammers around the world. This is pretty much an unpluggable hole on the side of
obtaining the addresses as one way or another, they're going to be able to get them. What
needs to happen is better invite spam protection in Messenger itself.
