I beg to differ. The update history at Windows Update can be deleted by
removing the contents of the WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore
folder. To do that you would have to stop the Automatic Update service
from running. Do that either via the Services console or by running
wuauserv from Start > Run > and type in

net stop wuauserv
Click OK
Then delete the contents of the DataStore folder
Now restart the AU service from the Services console or,
go to Start > Run > type in

net start wuauserv
Click OK
