Just copy the whole windows mail folder from a Vista machine--- rename the
windows 7 installed "windows mail" to .old then copy the vista windows
program to the same location in the programs folder ----- then just make a
shortcut to the winmail.exe and put it on your desktop

You'll soon learn the pitfalls of doing so.

Although Windows Mail is indeed quite usable as a newsgroup
reader in Windows 7, using its email mode is more problematical.
Windows 7 doesn't recognize Windows Mail as a default mail program.
There are some unofficial registry hacks that will remedy that for now.
Be aware that future Windows Updates may render WM inoperable in
Windows 7, as will running SFC.exe. For that reason I recommend also
installing Windows Live Mail, so you will have an immediate fallback
if WM fails.
