My suggestion?
Take all Ubuntu installation disks you own and drench them with
lighter-fluid, then drop a match on the pile.
Until "the Desktop" accounts for greater than 50% of the Linux kernal,
it will never be anything but a hobby or server-room OS for those few
who use it exclusively.
