Re: Can not download Updates

Hi Jordan,

This can if the dispex.dll file is not registered.

Register the file.

Click Start > Run
Type "regsvr32 dispex.dll" (w/o quotes)
Press OK

Try Windows Update again.

I am having the same problem, I have W98SE and the download hangs at the "Windows Update - Web Page Dialog" screen. Nothing at all happens. I checked the knowledgebase and registered dispex.dll, vbscript.dll, scrrun.dll & msscript.ocx - I did not even have msscript.ocx on my machine and had to download a copy. I still cannot download from WU. It was working fine a few weeks ago.

I have the same problem with W98. The download hangs at the "Windows Update - Web Page Dialog" screen. Nothing gets downloaded. It was working fine a few weeks ago.
