Just so we're clear, what "e-mail program" are you referring to?
Since you did say WLM in your subject and given the context, I'm going to assume you actually
mean Live Messenger which is an instant messaging client, not an e-mail program.
Regardless, amusingly enough Messenger many many years ago did support this, but AOL locked
Microsoft out. Although Messenger has supported adding and talking directly to Yahoo clients
since version 8.0, there's been no agreement with AOL to inter-operate with AIM. There might
be in the future though, one can only hope.
