Just to let you know that I have exactly the same problem. The silence from
Microsoft says it all - they haven't a clue either. I tried Windows
Messenger and that doesn't work either but at least it gives a message about
the login username or password being invalid whereas Messenger 8 Live just
seems to hang (I know that the ids are OK since I am using them OK on another
PC).
